We didn’t hit the target but the away end of the Ricoh Arena was painted red by 2,442 Town fans, who roared their team on for the full 90 minutes but Swindon couldn’t quite get the dream result that many were hoping for.
The campaign, which was backed by the Swindon Advertiser, saw 100 free, limited edition Swindon Town scarves given out to youngsters as well as reduced coach travel for travelling fans.
Many children had their first ever away day experience.
