Swindon Food Collective – TrustSTFC

Swindon Food Collective

In the build up to the next home game on Saturday the 22nd of November against Grimsby Town, the Nigel Eady County Ground will play host to our second food bank collection event, in aid of the Swindon Food Collective.

We’ll be found on the day at the corner of the Arkells and Town End, next to the Elsie’s Bakery stall.

We were blown away by the generosity of fans at our first event with Swindon Food Collective, held before this season’s home opener against Cambridge and we’re hoping to give SFC a bigger boost in the run up to a Festive period.

No one should go hungry, especially so at Christmas.

We understand that times are hard and money is tight, but any donations you can give would be greatfully received and put to good use by the Swindon Food Collective. If you are unable to attend the game but still wish to help, there is a permanent food collection bin at the Club’s reception desk or you can make donations online at the following link.

Swindon Food Collective’s CEO, Matt Jones, said;

“Once again, we are tremendously grateful for the continued support from Swindon Town Football Club, TrustSTFC and supporters for their generosity donating valuable tinned and packaged food to Swindon Food Collective. We simply ask STFC supporters: “a can if you can”! All food donated goes exclusively to Swindon citizens most in need of help from food poverty. Alternative ways to donate are cash or card donations on the day or via our website.

Did you know? You can help us raise even more money for the charity when you buy and purchase goods online. Register for https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/swindon-food-collective and every online purchase provides a free corporate donation to Swindon Food Collective”

We’re hopeful for another successful day and who knows, if the Town can follow up the Cambridge result with a win against Grimsby, maybe we can claim these collections as a good luck charm!
