It is with heavy hearts that we share news of the passing of long time Town supporter, TrustSTFC member and active contributor Dan Johnson, also known as ‘Dan the Fan’.
Dan passed away on Boxing Day. He was only 38 years old.
His unwavering love and commitment to Swindon Town was evident in the writing he did for the Swindon Advertiser and the Trust over the years. You could say Swindon Town was his life and he cared passionately for helping improve the club in whatever way he could, always offering support in regular email exchanges behind the scenes.
We were informed of his passing by his family and our thoughts and condolences are with them during this difficult time.
Dan was a devout Christian and passionate Swindon Town supporter and had been a season ticket holder at the County Ground since he was 16. He also served as a ball boy at the stadium in his younger years.
It goes without saying that his passing is a huge loss to the Swindon Town community and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him. I know the football club will also be paying their respects to Dan also.
RIP Dan Johnson, never forgotten.
