Redevelopment Update – TrustSTFC

Redevelopment Update

Late yesterday (Friday 16th May 2025), Swindon Town Football Club made a formal request to The County Ground Stadium Custodians Limited (the Joint Venture company) for landlord consent to redevelop the Nigel Eady County Ground.

The Club are seeking consent to add new hospitality facilities, executive boxes and extended facilities to the Don Rogers Stand. An initial review suggests that no changes have been made to the plans and concepts proposed by the Club as part of the consultation period launched on 14th April 2025.

Under the terms of the Joint Venture Agreement, landlord consent requests require the unanimous approval of both JV shareholders (the Club and the Trust). Therefore, the Joint Venture Board will now seek approval from both organisations.

From a Trust perspective, the Trust Board will now review the consent request before confirming a timeline of next steps to members.

Over the next two weeks, we understand that the Club will address outstanding redevelopment questions and share with supporters further information in response to concerns raised through the consultation process.

Any Trust membership vote will not take place before 1st June 2025 but for any vote which takes place in the first two weeks of June, the cutoff date for new members will be 5pm on 21st May 2025 (this is to ensure that the Direct Debit is set up and the membership fee of new members will have been paid ahead of being issued a vote).

In order to secure your vote in any future redevelopment of the Nigel Eady County Ground you will need to have paid into TrustSTFC prior to the vote taking place.

Steps to follow to ensure your membership fees will be paid in time:

  1. Visit TrustSTFC.com
  2. Input your details
  3. Choose the membership plan that suits you (any package other than Under 16 will get you a vote)
  4. Choose the 1st of the month as your preferred billing date to ensure your payment is made in time for any forthcoming vote
